The safety of people who work in the company’s own operations or work for their employer abroad is guaranteed by legal provisions in Germany.
These provisions were once regulated by the accident prevention regulations (BGV) issued by the German professional associations. They are now combined in the DGUV (German Statutory Accident Insurance), whose regulations are almost identical to those of the BGV. However, the rules and regulations of the cooperatives have been adjusted and standardized.
Company obliged to check
Regulation 3 of the DGUV (formerly BGV A3) obliges companies to have all stationary and mobile equipment (hand tools, coffee machines, etc.), machines and systems checked in accordance with the UV regulation of the professional association and the BetrSichV. Namely before the first start-up, before restarting after a change or repair and at certain time intervals. The tests may only be carried out by qualified electricians themselves or under their direction.
