The AGV gearboxes were developed specifically for use as wheel hub gearboxes in a wide variety of industrial trucks. This type of application fulfils the high requirements, such as a compact design and a direct connection to the application and the wheel to be driven. In order to achieve the best connection possible between the gearbox and servomotor, the AGV gearboxes have been integrated into our servomotor modular system with the tried-and-tested direct motor attachment. This results in units that are perfectly customised to the requirements of battery-powered vehicles.
Direct integration allows both overall length and weight to be saved, which has a positive effect on the portable payload and the dimensions of the entire drive unit. Direct mounting also offers the opportunity to further increase the transmission efficiency and thus the efficiency of the drive unit. The design of the gearbox mounting allows very high radial forces, which correspond directly to the payload to be loaded, to be absorbed while at the same time ensuring high rigidity of the overall unit.
