Hanover, May 2024 – Plastic modular belts are robust, durable and easy to clean. That’s why they have become indispensable in hygiene-sensitive food processing with its strict hygiene regulations. With Siegling Prolink, Forbo Movement Systems now offers 16 series for a wide range of conveying and processing tasks for delicate to heavy-duty applications.
Plastic modular belts often have to be removed from the system for cleaning (COP = cleaning out of place). This requires the modular belt to be opened and closed quickly and easily.
For this purpose, the belt manufacturer has further developed its special ProSnap (PSP) locking system. This is a quick-release system for simple, fast and tool-free opening and closing of the belt. The ProSnap fastening system is available for the Siegling Prolink series 4.1, 6.1, 10 and 13 and offers a great time advantage.
It has a smooth surface (FLT), high strength and is available in the materials POM and POM-MD (metal detectable).
Of particular interest to the user is the tool-free opening of the belt, which is supported in Series 6.1 and Series 10 by a stainless steel coupling rod that can be easily removed even after long periods of use.
