The Optogon S series was specifically designed for laser marking and laser engraving of small to mediumsized parts in small batches. Because the laser system is designed as a laser class 1 system, there is no need for the operator to declare it for insurance purposes or to appoint
a laser safety officer.
Wide range of applications –
The use of maintenance-free, air-cooled fibre lasers with high beam quality enables cost-effective processing of workpieces with high equipment availability. The laser‘s wavelength makes it possible to process a large number of metals and plastics.
Intelligent design –
The compact design of the S series is an intelligent combination of a small machine size and a large work area. The redesigned door concept provides a wide opening for the system so that relatively large workpieces can be easily exchanged or auxiliary equipment installed and removed. The door can also be partially opened to allow workpieces tobe conveniently and ergonomically exchanged, regardless of the height of the operator.
Precise processing –
The electrically adjustable Z-axis combined with a double pilot laser enables easy and precise adjustment of the correct focal position up to part heights of 130 millimetres using standard optics. The Z-axis is configured for manual jogging operation, or is optionally available as an NC axis.

The laser unit can be manually moved in the X direction, providing an exceptionally cost-effective option for enlarging the work area to 410 x 110 mm. The laser unit‘s movement over the workpiece is based on a travelling column concept, ensuring an optimum ratio of cabin size to workpiece size. This X-axis is naturally also available as an NC-controlled variant.
